Introduction to Systematic and Scoping Reviews for Evidence Synthesis In-Person / Online

Are you new to or curious about literature reviews such as Systematic and Scoping Reviews? Learn some of the basics in this 90 minute introductory class.

One of Countway Library's expert research librarians will lead this session aimed towards graduate students, faculty members, post-docs, fellows, visiting scholars, and anyone else with an interest in learning the most foundational elements of conducting systematic literature reviews.

While this course cannot reasonably cover all aspects of systematic reviews, it will cover the following topics:

  • Types of systematic reviews
  • Developing a research question
  • Selecting the appropriate type of review for the research question
  • Conducting guidance, reporting guidance, and the difference between them
  • What to expect when conducting a review
