Data Literacy: Intro to GIS, maps and data with the Harvard Map Collection In-Person

What: Learn about support for GIS (Geographic Information Systems) on campus and receive a primer on geospatial research considerations.

Why: The complexities of using GIS data and software across the lifecycle of a research project is not always straightforward; this session will prepare you early on to know where to find help down the road.

How: This is a free 1.5-hour in-person workshop, consisting of lecture, demonstrations, and discussion. This live class will not be recorded. 

Where: Classrooms 102 & 103 on the First Floor of Countway Library. 

Who: This seminar is open to faculty, research staff, postdoctoral researchers, and students from all disciplines. There are no prerequisites or assumptions of knowledge. In-person workshops are open to Harvard University ID holders only.
