Sharpen Your Research Skills: Introduction to Systematic Reviews Online
Would you like to learn more about what it takes to plan and produce a systematic review or similar evidence synthesis? Start, continue, or refresh your learning with an expert Countway Librarian from our Research team. This 90 minute online class will introduce methodological and planning strategies, discuss the stages of a review, and highlight the essential personnel needed to bring quality and rigor to any evidence synthesis project.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify the difference in purpose and approach between different types of Evidence Synthesis Reviews
- Determine when a review may be necessary (or not)
- Plan feasible review projects
- Recognize different question frameworks and grasp their utility for shaping focused research questions
- Locate and select conducting guidelines appropriate for the type of review they are conducting
- Define the roles and responsibilities of members of an investigating team
