Welllbeing Through Art: Embrace Abstract Art: Turn Spills into Masterpieces

Welllbeing Through Art: Embrace Abstract Art: Turn Spills into Masterpieces In-Person

Have you ever accidentally spilled coffee or tea on a document? Instead of getting upset or stressed, imagine letting the colors, water, and an accident create a piece of art.

In this workshop, we'll explore the revolutionary soak-stain technique invented by the American artist Helen Frankenthaler. She transformed painting by laying her canvases flat, using natural materials, and allowing the paint to soak into the fabric, creating a unique stained effect.

Inspired by her methods, we'll use watercolor techniques with colors derived from coffee, tea, and other natural materials. We will explore how stains can evolve into images through imagination and association, creating unique, personal artworks. This exercise can be integrated into daily life as a relaxing activity to shift focus and enhance creativity.
