Essential workflows in scholarly writing; Tools and workflows to avoid plagiarism.
This workshop will focus on avoiding some common problems that can arise when writers do not cite their sources properly. In this workshop, we consider how and when to integrate information from other research articles, and review citation rules that allow us to appropriately acknowledge the work of others.
Plagiarism has more than one flavor and can be done unintentionally. We will discuss how to avoid this serious problem by recognizing what triggers it, and consider online tools that can help to gaurd against it.
