Presentation Skills Workshop - PetchaKucha In-Person
PetchaKucha (ぺちゃくちゃ) or Japanese for "chatting" or "chitchat" is a presentation centered around the idea of talking less and showing more. This storytelling format consists of 20 slides which display for 20 seconds each, highlighting images and including no words.
In this session, learn about this challenging presentation that forces the presenter to consider their salient points and focus on showing over telling.
This workshop is for current students, postdocs, and research fellows who would like to improve their oral presentation and communication skills.
Preparation is key, but practice is absolutely essential in helping you to deliver an impactful, confident, and engaging presentation. Non-native speakers of English are especially encouraged to attend.
This class will review some of the important techniques that will help you prepare for, and execute, a public speech for any occasion.
No two workshops are ever the same!
