(Gothic) Silent Reading Party 🎵 In-Person

Come take a mental health break and read something fun, accompanied by (maybe spooky) piano music and free hot drinks!

What is a Silent Reading Party?

It’s a drop-in party designed to be the perfect atmosphere for reading. It’s much easier to turn off your phone and read if everyone else is doing it too. Plus, there’s live piano music specifically arranged and performed to set the mood but not be distracting.

Come read “alone together” or meet fellow book lovers! BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) or grab one from the library. Feel free to bring a laptop or notepad to work on if you like. Pamper yourself with words while sipping hot beverages and listening to soft music.

Drop in anytime between 3:00-5:00pm

Who is our pianist?

Live piano music will be provided by Mimi, a Countway Concerts pianist. Mimi enjoys hosting Silent Reading Parties to promote the love of books and music. She also plays at special events and performs a wide range of music from Classical to Rock/Metal to Broadway and movie theme songs to sea shanties as well as her own improvisations. Follow Mimi on Instagram @MimiManyin and @TheLiteraryPiano.
