Finding Evidence: Searching Web of Science (Online) Online

Web of Science is a collection of subscription accessed databases that index scholarly literature in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. WoS contains strong international and conference literature. This class will briefly review basics to database searching with Boolean operators. Patrons will then learn to navigate WoS, using database specific field tags, wild cards, and proximity operators. There will also be a brief exploration of Web of Science’s bibliometric features.

This is a continuation of the Finding Evidence class series. You can attend this class alone or attend the classes as a series. There will be a common search scenario that will be used through all four classes.
