What: Join us in celebrating our Open Access Week! Connect with Countway Library experts about making your work openly available, navigating Harvard’s open access policies, managing your research data, and finding open resources to support your research and teaching.
Why: Learn how Harvard Library is advancing open access and pick up informational handouts and free swag, and discover how you can contribute to making research accessible to all! This year's Open Access Week theme is, "Who Owns Our Knowledge?" The theme is driven by the current data/knowledge disruptions, asking how communities can reassert control over the knowledge they produce and challenges us to confront who has access to education and research, how that knowledge is collected and shared, where that information comes from, and whose voices are being valued and recognized.
Where: Countway Library, Huntington Avenue entrance between the Coop and Café.
Who: All are welcome! Students, faculty, researchers, and staff from all disciplines.

Join Harvard Library in celebrating International Open Access Week 2025, October 20-26!
International Open Access Week, held each year in October, is an opportunity for academic and research communities around the world to learn more about the benefits of open access!
The 2025 Open Access Week theme asks, “Who Owns Our Knowledge?” Harvard Library will host events and offer materials that explore how, “in a time of disruption, communities can reassert control over the knowledge they produce.”
