The Arts & Medical Education on Campus: An Experiential Symposium In-Person
The "Arts & Medical Education” is an experiential symposium that invites participants from the HMS community and public to learn about the integration of arts, health, and education on the HMS campus and throughout its institutions. The symposium has three major sections: The plenary session includes welcome remarks, guided music listening, and an overview of the arts landscape at one HMS hospital. The experiential sessions give participants to engage in the arts themselves, with alternating activities in movement and personal art, followed by a consolidative writing reflection. Finally, the keynote session features a film screening and artist talk by Every Ocean Hughes. The symposium concludes with a reception for light dinner, networking, and community.
