Review Ready: Introduction to Scoping Reviews Online

This class provides investigators of all levels an introduction to the principles and process of scoping reviews. Participants will explore when and why scoping reviews are used, consider key elements of planning and organizing a review, and become familiar with the main steps involved, such as formulating research questions, locating literature, screening studies, synthesizing data, and reporting results.
The class also addresses common challenges, including methodological missteps and reporting issues, while highlighting available research support services. By the end of the class, attendees should have a clearer understanding of the scoping review process and increased confidence to consider or contribute to such projects. This course is well suited for those seeking a practical overview of scoping reviews and guidance on current best practices in evidence synthesis.
