Cite It Right: Footnotes, Endnotes, and Bibliography - Countway @ Kresge Brown Bag Series In-Person
Join Countway and HSPH for a new lunchtime brown bag series focused on common topics that come up in research and scholarly communication!
This one-hour workshop focuses on avoiding some common problems that can arise when writers do not cite their sources properly in their scholarly products. Together, we will consider how and when to integrate information from other research articles and review citation rules that allow us to appropriately acknowledge the work of others. Plagiarism has more than one flavor and can be done unintentionally. Over the hour, we will discuss how to avoid this serious problem by recognizing what triggers it to occur and consider online tools that can help guard against it.
