Online Workshop - Cite it Right! Footnotes, Endnotes, and Manuscript Preparation In-Person

This workshop will focus on avoiding some common problems that can arise when writers do not cite their sources properly. Join us for an interactive workshop where we consider how and when to integrate information from other research articles, and discus why this must be combined with an understanding of how to appropriately acknowledge the work of others.

Plagiarism has more than one flavor and can be done unintentionally. We will discuss how to avoid this serious problem by recognizing what triggers it.

Note: This is not a workshop focusing on the mechanics of particular citation styles; rather, it is a broader conversation about the purpose and importance of citations, and the critical roles they play in our research and our writing.

We will use the ZOOM web conferencing platform to conduct this workshop.

Please register below, and the instructor will email you an invitation to join our online workshop. (The invitation will arrive in your Inbox approximately 10 minutes before the class is to begin.)
