SUMMARY:POSTPONED: Making Meaning: Zines\, Gender\, and Health
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE: This event had to be rescheduled due to the snow 
 blizzard forecasted for Monday\, February 23\, 2026.  We will announce the 
 new event date soon. \n\nThis event brings together students\, educators\, 
 and community members to explore zines as a tool for gender health 
 liberation and justice.\n\nDrawing from student work in Dr. Ariel 
 Beccia’s Fall 1 course Gender and Health: Introductory Perspectives (WGH 
 211)\, this workshop showcases zines as a pedagogical tool for engaging 
 gender and health. Student presenters will share their zines and discuss 
 how creative methods helped them reflect on health\, identity\, and power. 
 The event will include a collaborative zine-making session. Student zines 
 will also be exhibited at Countway Library from February 17 to March 
 24.\n\nSTUDENT SPEAKERS INCLUDE:\nKaiden Kane (MPH - Health and Social 
 Behavior)\nMaya Yassine (MPH - Health Management)\nLulwa Zainal (MPH - 
 Nutrition)\nDougie Zubizarreta (PhD - Population Health Sciences\n\nZine 
 making supplies will be available - so come as you are! \n\nLight lunch
